Take sixteen persons from various states and regions of the US with varying interests and sports ability, ranging in age from twenty-one to sixty-three, place them in a completely different environment and pit them against each other and nature for a million dollar prize and what will happen?
Thats what the sixteen new contestants of Survivor 11 are willing to find out!
So will we, when the 11th edition of the Emmy Award-winning CBS reality/adventure series debuts on September 15 at 8 p.m. CST.
So who are these contestants, these Survivors? Scan the table below for their names and a few pertinent facts.
How will these eight men and eight women do in the Guatemalan jungles? Much will depend on their physical state going in and their endurance and attitude throughout.
People with swimming, snorkeling, scuba diving, camping, hunting, fishing and hiking or backpacking experience, like Brianna Varela, Cindy Hall, Danni Boatwright, Lydia Morales, Margaret Bobonich, Blake Towsley, Brandon Bellinger, Brian Corridan, Gary Hogeboom, Judd Sergeant, Rafe Judkins would be expected to do well.
Those sports are usually done individually. Will the people with team sports have an advantage? Danni Boatwright, Morgan McDewitt, and Gary Hogeboom might have the upper hand here. Indeed, with his experience on the football field, Gary Hogeboom, the one-time Dallas Cowboys quarterback, might have an edge with competitiveness and leadership.
Wintertime sports, such as skiing or snowshoeing might not be applicable to the Survivor location, but these sports build muscle and endurance, too. Will Cindy Hall and Jim Lynchs gardening and landscaping skills come in handy or will farmer/rancher Bradon Bellinger know more about survival?
Will Rafe Judkins travels and leadership training help him with strategy?
How about nursing skills and working with wild animals? Will these help Margaret Bobonich or Cindy Hall? Will knowing a magicians tricks help Morgan McDevitt, who works as a model under the name Morgan Malloy?
Read host Jeff Probsts assessment of each of the contestants. As you watch the episodes, recapped right here, and see the Survivors try to Outwit, Outplay and Outlast each other, will Jeffs evaluation of their strengths and weaknesses prove true?
