The pit stop is located on a site honoring Argentine general Manuel José Joaquín del Corazón de Jesús Belgrano, who distinguished himself during the was of independence and designed Argentina's national flag.
The site also commemorates the sinking of the navy cruiser Belgrano in May, 1982 during the Falklands War with much loss of life and a continuing controversy.
